ILLEGAL to charge someone for audition information or to
obtain a booking...Companies like this one will tell you that they are charging you for
your "web presence." Don't fall for this!!!
From Ken Farmer's PAG Notes, 2/07- ...When you go in for an
audition, there is usually a slot on the sign-in sheet asking for your
social security number. Do not, I repeat, do not, that's NOT, N-O-T, write down
your social security number on that sheet!!!
By law, only your employer or a governmental agency has the right to see your
SS# and you aren't hired yet...

interest to actors in North Carolina. Chat is welcome on the related ncactors list, but
not here. All subscribers to this list (and ncactors) are REQUIRED to do their share of
"legwork." That means checking your area newspaper or certain webpages
for casting information, and POSTING it via email to this list. This list is primarily for
adult professional actors. Teen and child actors are welcome to start their

Actors Southeast is a place where we can share audition information, chat
about technique, and relax.
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE MESSAGE BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO SUBSCRIBE.
First, EVERYONE is required to share audition information. You are expected to introduce
yourself and describe your acting experience when you join. If it is obvious
you are not professional, you will be removed from the list.
The casting information will only be of interest to actors in the Southeastern United
States (generally, from Virginia to Florida.)
Of course, casting directors and agents and other industry folks are welcome to post
announcements about casting. The only real rules here are... No flames. Be
professional. And you MUST post audition information once a month. We *will* and *do*
remove people who don't do this. As actors we must be resourceful and professional --
never expect a free ride. Finally, PLEASE DO NOT BEG ANYONE on this list for acting
work!
Audition information will be posted here, as will other announcements of interest to
actors in the Southeast. Chat is
welcome. All subscribers to this list are required to do their share of
"legwork." That means volunteering to check your area newspaper (Southeast U.S.)
or certain webpages for auditions and casting info to SHARE with the rest of us.

As I get casting info for Texas feature films I will share it; both
