Get the training and credentials that are recognized in your field of choice.
Network with successful professionals in your career field.
Keep training current on the cutting-edge.
Keep gaining experience, even volunteer work.
Work at building a resume, even with volunteer or unpaid work.
Develop appropriate, professional, sharp personal marketing materials:
resume, portfolio, Web site, calling cards, photos, demos
Keep practicing skills needed in your field.
Take care of yourself: body, health, appearance...
Learn and practice effective verbal and written communication skills.
Take control and persevere, a career is built over time.
Check with career centers to look for jobs (UT, TX, UIL office for teaching jobs
